Cholita Taqueria is now Cholita Modern Cantina.

The soul of Cholita remains the same — our classic tacos, hand-smashed guacamole, and legendary margaritas are still front and center.

What’s changing is the experience. We’ve listened to our Broad Ripple community and expanded our taqueria into a full Modern Cantina. You’ll now find an elevated menu featuring more small plates, fresh crudos and ceviches, and thoughtfully crafted Mexican and Latin-inspired dishes that celebrate both tradition and local ingredients.

We’ve partnered with the best in Indiana — Kinkaid Meats, Old Major Meat Market, Broad Ripple Seafood Market, and local farms and dairies — to bring you a unique style of cuisine rooted in the bold flavors of Mexico and Latin America.

Leading the kitchen is Chef Greg Howe, who spent over a decade immersed in the culinary traditions of Mexico — from the coastal cities of Cabo San Lucas and Riviera Maya to the vibrant streets of Mexico City and Puebla. Previously Vice President of Culinary for Richard Sandoval Restaurants, he opened more than 40 Latin-inspired restaurants worldwide before returning home to Indiana to open Cholita in 2018.

Joining him is our Chef de Cuisine, Felix Isauro, a proud Toluca, Mexico native (home of Mexico’s most celebrated chorizo). With five years at North Side Social and four years at Cholita, Felix brings deep passion and technical skill to every plate.

We’re incredibly excited to welcome you to the new Cholita Modern Cantina. Come taste the evolution, enjoy a cocktail, and spend time with friends and family in a space we built for our community.
